Can you believe it? Only one more balloon to pop! I've saved the best for last, but thought I would fill you in on our balloon activities so far for this week! On Monday, we had "freeze pop and extra recess", which was very nice on such a hot day. We did have to take our extra recess inside due to the rain, but the kids didn't seem to mind.
On Tuesday, after our big day at Teusink's Farm, we had "sidewalk chalk"! At first the kids didn't seem too excited about it, but when I told them we were going to have teams of two create pictures in a sidewalk square on the South parking lot so that all the kids going to busses could enjoy them, they perked up!
They were told to come up with a theme or plan before creating their picture, and then they got down to work!
It was fun to hear them planning and offering encouragement to each other! Below are the final creations for you to enjoy! Sorry, I think I may have missed a couple of teams!

Wednesday's activity was "Read outside and Sit and Sip". The idea was to take our book boxes outside and read while enjoying a can of pop. Sadly, the rain today caused us to change our plan yet again. Instead of reading outside, we enjoyed our can of pop while watching a Magic School Bus Science video immediately after P.E. class! Don't worry, the soda was non-caffienated!
