Hawkeye Hustle

Today was a very special day!  It was our PTO fundraising event for the 2018-19 school year!  Students were requested to ask for donations from family and friends for our school.  In return, all day long, students at Hamilton Elementary School were walking, running, skipping and dancing around the track!

These important funds raised by our students are used to supplement their school experience all year long.  Our fantastic PTO purchases subscriptions for our students to use Raz Kids (for reading) and IXL (for math and language arts) on computers and ipads.  They also purchase a t-shirt for every student and adult at school to wear not only for this special day, but also to wear on field trips or special days.  In addition, the PTO provides experiences for our students such as Santa's Workshop, Daddy/Daughter dance, Mother/Son event, Roller Skating party, and FUN NIGHT!  Our PTO also has given each teacher some funds to purchase classroom items that might not be possible otherwise.  They are TRULY appreciated and care so much about our students!

If you have not collected money for our PTO and would still like to contribute, please send your money in!  They would be happy to accept it!  For our event today, it was announced that our students collected about $14,000!   Thank you!  Our students will benefit greatly this year!

At the end of our track time, we gathered into the center of the track area to do the Hokey Pokey!

At the end of the day, all of the students in our school gathered around the track for a special event!  Mr. Kramer agreed to become a 'Human Sundae!'  The top earning student from each grade were invited to put whipped cream, toppings, and sauces all over him!  The children went wild with each new topping. They were chanting "Down his shirt... down his shirt... down his shirt!"  What a great sport, Mr. Kramer!

 

A great day for sure!  The weather was cooperative, the kids were excited, and it was a WIN for the students of Hamilton Elementary School!  Thank you so much for your support everyone!
