100th Day of School!

We celebrated our 100th day of school on Tuesday!   Most of the day was spent doing various activities with a 100 theme.  See below for pictures and descriptions of our day!

The kids brought in 100 pieces of a dry snack food to mix together for snack time.

Carly works on sorting her mixed snack before eating it!

Payton surveys the 'goodies' in her 100 snack!

Rowan has her snack sorted and is ready to eat!  Jackson does not worry about the sorting, and just enjoys the fun of eating it up!

Paul,  Kiel, Lily and Kayden work on a weighing activity.  The kids brought in 100 of something to weigh in a balance scale.  First they weighed their items against pennies or tiles or teddy bear counters.  Then they divided their items into groups of ten.  Everyone found out that 100 items divides into ten 10's!  (Go figure!)

When they were not weighing their items, some children made 100 hats.  Others drew pictures of themselves at 100 years old for a class book and did a paper to show what they thought the future would be like in 100 years.

We look great in our 100 hats!

The kids work in teams to complete 100 piece puzzles.

The 100th day of school was a lot of fun!  It's always nice to have a break in our routine and do something different for a day.  Thank you parents, for helping your children prepare for our special day.
