Final Post of First Grade

Can you believe it?  First grade was Fabulous, right???  We had a wonderful year of learning, growing and enjoyment!  To begin, we had one more student master her addition facts on Xtra Math yesterday, so we start out with Kylee's picture!  Congratulations Kylee!  She will begin practicing subtraction facts this summer!  Don't forget to continue having your child work on addition and subtraction facts this summer using Xtra Math and IXL this summer!

And now, on to the main event of the day... LAST BLAST!   We began the morning by visiting with staff and animals from the Critter Barn!  We learned about chickens and chicks, milked a goat, bunnies, sheep and their wool, baby and adult goats, and a pot bellied pig who could do tricks!  Here are the pictures of this portion of our morning...

After we washed our hands, we went inside to watch a video of photographs created by our own Ms. Baker using photographs from teachers.

We then moved outside to the Heath Township park!  We enjoyed time on the playground, playing kickball, searching for pennies and bouncy balls, and eating a Freeze Pop!

We thank our wonderful PTO for putting on this yearly event!  It was a day to remember for always!

We then went inside for a bit due to the rain, but ended our day by creating 'the tunnel' for our fourth graders to run through while we cheered for them as they ended their time at Hamilton Elementary!

It was my pleasure to lead your children through their first grade experience.  I love every one of them and will miss them this summer and next year!  I also enjoyed a wonderful relationship with many of you parents, and I thank you for your support and friendship this year.  Have a relaxing summer and enjoy your well-deserved family time!

And finally...  the FUNNY ONE!
