Special Events of the Week

Phew!  Last week of first grade!  Can you even believe it?  This week, a few special events have taken place, with our Last Blast coming on Friday morning!  The Last Blast post will have many pictures, so I thought I would send one tonight regarding some other events!

On Tuesday, we had our Music Program!  Mrs. Israels has worked hard with her students all semester long, and it paid off!  Look for a link coming from the district for the show, but I did get one picture of the class on the risers before the show began!

Next, we wish to thank Kaleb for the yummy Jolly Rancher Popsicles!  We enjoyed the treat, and the funny jokes on the sticks were an added bonus!

Next, we went 'Book Shopping' today!  Our generous PTO, with assistance from the district, provided each student in our school with TEN FREE BOOKS!  The idea is to assist your child avoid the 'Summer Slide' and continue to read!  Then, if those books become too familiar, simply visit our library on Tuesdays this summer and trade them for different ones!  What a great deal!

Finally, we had a major accomplishment in first grade!  We had ONE student who did not miss even one day of school this year!  Congratulations to Nick B.!

I promise to take lots of photos of our Last Blast on Friday!  I cannot guarantee that I will get the blog out to you this weekend, as I will be taking off for a trip with Mr. Ferrell on Saturday!  I will certainly do my best and will of course, email you when it is ready!
