Time for a shave?

Today we popped our final balloon activity for the year!  We got to draw in shaving cream!  When they heard what we would be doing, many did not react very excited.  But when they actually got to dig into the shaving cream, spread it around, and draw in it, they were having a ball!  We spent close to a half hour and I think every single student would have had fun doing it for another hour, but Mrs. Ferrell needed time to clean up the desks before "Move Up Day"!

This is a cheap and fun thing to do at home on a boring summer day!  Just spread shaving cream on a hard surface and let your child practice math facts, write a sentence or two, or just draw some neat pictures!

The Balloon Pop activities were a big hit!  This is the first year I have done it, and after the reactions of the kids (and parents), it sure looks like a new tradition has begun!
